About Casa Del Sol
Ed Becdach is of Lebanese-Ecuadorian decent and the third generation in his family to specialize in the clothing retail business. Ed was born in Los Angeles, grew up in South America and then returned to LA to complete his BA in business. Ed joined the retail business after pursuing a variety of other careers in sales, social work and the airline industry.
Ed moved to Connecticut eight years ago and found the Pioneer Valley to be the ideal location for the business he had envisioned. Originally located in the Berkshires, Ed relocated Casa Del Sol to downtown Northampton and found it to be the ideal spot for a store specializing in imported handmade and original apparel, accessories, and crafts in the restaurant and shopping hot-spot of the valley.
Ed travels frequently throughout South and Central America to buy direcly from the artisans themselves, as well as, local markets and factories. He is additonally able to offer products from Thailand, India and Tibet through his network of wholesale buyers.
In addition, to his passion for retail, Ed holds a private pilots license and enjoys flying small, single-engine planes and mountainbiking through the outbacks of Ecuador.
Located on 207 Main St, Casa Del Sol enjoys participating in seasonal festivals and events.
